2009年普洱熟茶

8 g per packet.

Our grade-1 ripe Pu'er tea comes from the Lancang river, a region known for producing excellent Pu'er tea. It consists of fine “Emperor’s court” (gong ting – 宫廷) grade tea buds.

The reason why this tea is considered the top tea in Pu'er tea is because the water and soil around Lancang river is relatively delicate, with scared trees. Its tea tree variety and picking selection are both very strict, using tea leaves from ancient trees that are over a hundred years old. Due to their age, these leaves are rich in more active ingredients and minerals. At the same time, when picking, only tender buds are selected, which contain higher levels of tea polyphenols and amino acids, making the quality of tea even better.

When stored in cool, dry conditions, Pu'er tea does not degrade. Indeed, many varieties noticably improve when aged, and are intentionally kept many years before drinking.

It has a mixed wheat taste, sweet and floral.

Use 8 g with 200 ml water. Steep in hot water at 95 °C for 10 seconds. Decant from brewing vessel and set aside leaves for subsequent brewings. Gradually increase steeping time and temperature for subsequent brewings. For best results, discard a rinse of new leaves with a quick preparatory brewing before brewing to drink.
